Dear Ohana,
February, this is the time of year people plan for a special time. They think about the right lights, the right ambiance, good food, with special people. It is an exciting time, a time for thrills, and sometimes sadness. Of course I’m talking about the Superbowl. But, oh yeah, there is Valentine’s Day too.
Aside from the big game, the biggest game in town seems to be on Valentine’s Day this month. At the end of this weekend there will be one winner and one loser from a football game, but the stakes are much larger as you look at the Love quotient in your life. So we are beginning a series called Love Works this February at our Weekend Gatherings to help us understand and flourish in the ways God made Love to work in our lives. We will explore and strengthen our capacities to love and build up one another in the special relationships in life. It’s not how you start in love, it’s growing in love that matters.
On the building search front, we are still prayerfully searching for the place God has prepared for us. This month we will have to move our Saturday Gatherings to our Ministry Center in Waipahu on 2/18 & 2/25 while our Sunday Gatherings will remain the same at Kapolei Middle School. All this underscores the continued importance of the Building Fund Program and our desire to look for our future facility.
We are thankful that God has a plan for you and for us together as we seek to follow Jesus and live for Him in every area of life.
3 “So let us know, let us press on to know the Lord. His going forth is as certain as the dawn; and He will come to us like the rain, Like the spring rain watering the earth.” Hosea 6:3 (NASB)
In His Amazing Grace,
Pastor Glenn
